Madre mia! a estas alturas de las rebajas y todavia con el christma navideño en el blog!! Por qué el tiempo es tan poco? Bueno, yo siempre quiero pensar que llegará un momento en el que tenga mas (tiempo, digo).. optimismo nato, jeje.
Y estaba yo en la piscina uno de aquellos dias en los que si que tuve un rato para hacerme unos largos (aunque fueran pocos) y cuando saqué la cabeza, alli estaban ellas, todas del mismo cole, en la clase de natación del mediodia, escuchando con esa admiracion que uno tiene de pequeño por su monitor del deporte que mas le gusta. Pues eso, ahi estan.

I want to think that sometime in the near future I will have more (time, I mean). So, I was in the swimming pool one day, when I got a bit of that time I usually lack of, and when I stuck my head out of the water there they where, all from the same school, in their early afternoon swimming lesson, listening to their teacher from the water with that admiration you feel only when you are young. Hola! Espero que sigais todos bien!
Unos dibujetes del skbook hoy. Mira que coincidencia que hago un apuntillo en el parque de Berlin y resulta que este año se cumplen 20 años de la caída del muro, la verdad es que ni me habia dado cuenta cuando hice el dibujo, pero me enteré luego, asi que aqui lo pongo. Los tres cachos de pedrusco del medio de la fuente son tres cachos del muro... creo que no son de los mas vistosos, pero son los que nos tocaron, pues nada... ahi estan.
Los otros son una vista desde mi casa y una vista de Bocairent (un pueblo de Valencia que merece la pena ir a ver :). Por eliminación se deduce que la vista desde mi casa no es muy interesante... jeje.
Ah, pongo aqui el link del showreel de Autodesk, "The best of the best 2009", porque sale un poco del anuncio de Repsol y son nuestros dibujos y me hace ilusión.

Some scribbles today from the skbook. I did a little sketch in the Berlin Park (near my house in Madrid) and then I learn that this year is the 20th anniversary of the fall of the wall, so here I post the scribbles. The three stones in the middle of the fountain are actually three blocks from the wall (I think we got some of the dull ones)
The other drawings are a view from my house and a view of Bocairent, a nice village in Valencia worth to visit (yes, the view from my house is the uninteresting one... ¬¬
Ah! and I add down here the link to Autodesk's "Best of the best 2009" showreel because it features a bit of the Repsol commercial with our drawings in it...

Pues aunque he estado ese tiempo sin pasarme por aqui, si que he podido leer algo. Como me mola poner lo que estoy leyendo en la columna de la derecha y se me ha pasao el arroz por mucho, pues voy a reunirlo todo junto y os posteo un collage-ilustracion (he pegado las portadas originales que siempre queda mas "autentico", jeje).. Si estais dudando que leer, ahí hay alguna idea ...
(esto es lo que a mi me parecen, que no tiene nada que ver con lo que son. Tampoco son los que mas me gustan, ni me gustan todos, solo son los mas recientes):
* The road de Cormac McCarthy: crudo, gris y preocupante... con un final un poco apresurado o ... ¿? pero se lee de una tacada, (si tienes tiempo... yo tardé mas porque no tengo, :b)
* El mundo de Juan Jose Millás: autobiografia, typical madrileñish, aunque podria ser cualquier sitio de España en esos años.
* The death of Bunny Munro de Nick Cave, la historia esta bien, y muy bien escrita, se nota que se hace sus propias letras y todo eso, jeje, eso si, te tienen que gustar las novelas con mucho sexo.. (a mi me pillo desprevenida, me aburrió un poco, encima por el titulo ya sabes como acaba! mmmñññ ) Perfecto para troncos, creo.
* Man in the dark de Paul Auster, tipico suyo, si lo has leido antes. Esta bien, muy de nuestro tiempo.
* The white tiger de Aravind Adiga. Situado en la India, escrito en forma de e-mail. oscuro, original y enganchoso.
* The stars' tennis balls de Stephen Fry... Lo maaas chungo, asustoso y oscuro que he leido desde American Psycho (y de eso hace años). madremiamadremia! no puedes parar hasta que lo acabas.
* Moab is my washpot de Stephen Fry tambien... autobiografía, no me enganchó tanto como los otros, sorry. (el mejor para mi es el de Making History)
* El camino del sabio de Walter Riso: Los filosofos de la antigüedad para gente normal como nosotros. Ademas entretenido.
* La aventura del tocador de señoras de Eduardo Mendoza: muy gracioso, un buen rato leyendo :D
* On cats, de Doris Lessing, autobiografico o gatobiografico, muy chulo si te gustan esos bichos (a mi si ^.^)
* De Arquimedes a Einstein de Manuel Lozano Leyva: ya lo lei hace tiempo pero lo he vuelto a reeler! es genial!! este es superrecomendable: segun el titulo, las biografias, anecdotas y demas elementos historicos que rodearon los mejores experimentos. Es divertido, se entiende todo y de repente se entienden muchas otras cosas! sin duda hay que leerlo.

Hellooo! Although I have been away from here, I managed to read something. As Ilike to tell you through the right column the book I am currently reading and many have already gone, I've put them together in a collage-illustration (I stuck the original covers to make it look more "real" :). If you are thinking about what to read here you have some ideas... if you want. (the following are just my opinions, they may differ from yours and that's all right!. They are not my favorite books, they just are the ones I've recently read)
* The road by Cormac McCarthy: sooo bleak, grey and worrying ... is the end a bit rushed ¿? you read it in one go, (if you have the time... I took longer cause I don't have any. see precedent post haha :b)
* El mundo by Juan Jose Millás: autobio, typical madrileñish, or any kid in Spain in those years.
* The death of Bunny Munro by Nick Cave, plot is good, very well written, he writeshis own lyrics you know?,hehe, but you have to like novels with lots of sex.. (I didn't know about it, got a bit bored, and the title already gives away the ending!! mmmñññ ), perfect for men, I think.
* Man in the dark by Paul Auster, typical his, if you already know his style. It's good, very up to date with contemporary history.
* The white tiger by Aravind Adiga. It happens in India, written as an e-mail. original and trapping.
* The stars' tennis balls by Stephen Fry... The scariest and darkest thing I've read since American Psycho (and that was a long time ago). oh may may!

Hola otra vez !
Ultimamente el tiempo se me hace muy corto, o se me pasa muy rápido, que es lo mismo..., por eso me pasa esto con el blog...
Debe ser la edad, y encima dicen que cuanto mas mayor, mas rapido se pasa...
Decia Punset el otro dia en su programa de Redes que para que parezca que el tiempo es mas largo hay que hacer el mayor numero de cosas diferentes... es verdad que parece que cunde mas... asi que nada, a probar cosas nuevas...
Ilustracion nueva, estilo clasico, ayudará algo? :)

Holaaaaaa!
Parecia que esto se habia muerto... ññññ pero no, todo llega, hasta el tiempo para subir mas dibujos... Que vergüenza, que abandono... en fin, si es que no he podido.
Bueno, espero compensar este tiempo de espera... y ademas os visitaré para que sepais que aun existo... el ego que no renuncia a su protagonismo. Y contaré mas cosas, por si todavia hay alguien que me lee.
Empiezo por dibujos de las vacaciones: unos sketches piscineros para que no parezcan tan lejanas! y unos colorines con la DS...

Hola hola! he vuelto otra vez! como estais? Va a ser que este es mi ritmo natural de actualizacion del blog y que intentar ir mas rapido es ciencia-ficcion, jeje ayay. Os pongo una ilustracion que he hecho para Tom Wild y su proyecto-libro Lucidity, que va de sueños. Espero que os guste...
Y ya que estamos de sueños, nos han dado 2 premios hace muy poco!!: A la direccion artistica del anuncio de Renfe en el FIAP (festival iberoamericano de la publicidad) y otro a la caracterización del anuncio de Repsol, de la APCP (asociacion de productoras del cine publicitario), asi que por mi parte estoy supercontenta : D yuhuuu! y les doy las gracias a los equipazos de gente que los han hecho posible.

Hi there! I'm back again! how are you? I think this is going to be the natural pace of updating my blog, so trying to go faster seems to be science-fiction, well I'll have to give way to nature... I post today an illustration made for Tom Wild's project Lucidity book, which is about dreams. I hope you like it.
And by the way, we got awarded!! we got the award to the art direction with Renfe spot in the FIAP (Advertising Iberoamerican Festival) and the award to characterization (art and make-up) with Repsol by the Association of Advertising Film Producers (APCP Spain). I am very happy and I thank all the people that made them possible.

Hola! Todo este frio y esta nieve que sale en la tele me hacen pensar en ir a la nieve otra vez! Los ultimos años han sido bastante escasos de nieve, y no mola nada caerse en la nieve dura! A ver si este invierno es un poco mas generoso, aun asi habra que esperar hasta que empiece la temporada... mientras, un dibujino soñado en los ratos aburridos del trabajo...

Hello! All this snow and cold weather shown on tv makes me wish to go to the snow again! These last years have been very short on snow here in Spain, and it's no good to fall down on hard artificial snow... Ademas, toca en una banda que se llaman The Mute... Como son un poco frikis de la serie, no pude evitar hacerles un "simpsonizado" usando como referencia la imagen de Sonic Youth en esa misma serie . Bueno, podeis verlos en directo en su primer concierto en directo en el youtube de abajo. Espero que os guste!! :D

He also plays in a band called The Mute. They are fans of the Simpsons so I couldn't help to "simpsonize" them. Just a bit of humor... you can see their first concert in the youtube below. Hope you enjoy it!! :)

Hola! sigo sin tener material novedoso, porque entre freelanceo y trabajo normal no me da tiempo, asi que publico una ilustracioncita que hice para uno de los anuncios del Festival del Teatro Clasico de Merida de este año. Back from the holidays

Hooola! cuanto tiempo!!
Parece que las vacaciones le dan mas ocupacion a una que lo contrario.. :)
Que pena que se acabaron, tan pronto... como se echan de menos los 2 meses que teniamos cuando el cole... en fin, es lo que toca.
En fin, que casi no he podido ni pasarme por la güé... a ver si ahora puedo pasearme por todos los blogs y ver que habeis hecho en las vacas, seguro que cosas muy chulas. Muchas gracias por vuestros comentarios, que aunque no me he paseado, los he leido todos, bueno, prometo devolver las visitas :)
Mientras tanto cuelgo unos sketches hechos durante las vacaciones. Yo tambien me he apuntado al Colors de la DS, me parece fantastico!!! aunque aun se me hace un poco dificil de usar. Sobre todo cuando la pantalla se ve toda gris porque es de dia, que pena el contraste. Os dejo unos dibujos hechos con este programita (el de la playa esta hecho a ciegas, exterior, solazo, pantalla gris..., asi me salió, pero creo que es divertido ponerlo, las fotos hechas despues, para comparar, quien me mandará a mi... bueno, asi os reis de mi...jajaja). Bueno, y un sketch a mano para no perder la costumbre.

Hello hello! It's been a long time. In this while I have been on holidays! but they haven't been that long... :( they are soo short!! I have been doing things, even more busy during the holidays, I need some more holidays to rest now, hahaha!
Thanks for visiting during this time. I will return them, I promise :)
I post now some drawings done during the holidays. I've been using the DSColors, it's fantastic!! I 'm not too skillful with it yet, but it's very funny, it's great for sketching in the last hours of the day, if you are outdoors, otherways the screen is all grey, and you cannot see anything (the beach drawing was made like that: sun, grey screen, no contrast... that's why the result, hahaha, but I think is fun to try). Took the photos after drawing, to compare... and to make you laugh, I'm sure, hahaha :D
Anyway, hope you like them. And I also include a traditional marker on blankbook sketch too so we don't forget.

Que tal estais? ya me estaba empezando a retrasar otra vez... ay lo que cuesta ponerse a publicar algo, parece que no encuentra una el tiempo.

Bueno, hace algo menos de un mes fui a ver la exposicion de Mucha que hay en la fundacion de la Caixa. Impresionante!! muy bonita y recomendable, hay un monton de obras, incluidas fotografias y dibujos y pinturas de todas clases... si podeis no os la perdais:

Aunque como yo soy fan desde hace mucho y se me nota, ya que le copio sin reparos, no soy del todo imparcial... jejeje.

Resulta, ademas, que casi al mismo tiempo hemos traido a casa un nuevo inquilino pequeño y peludo. Es este:

Y aunque nuestras intenciones son que con el tiempo, esto no sea asi, ha entrado en conflicto con la inquilina ya existente, que es esta:

Asi que aqui esta mi pequeño homenaje a todos estos personajes que acabo de mencionar... Espero que estas guerras (que son de lo mas teatral y cómico, todo sea dicho) no duren mucho y jueguen mas que luchen, que era la intencion primera.

Hellooo!! not very long ago I went to see a Mucha Exhibition here in Madrid. It was impressive! I've always been a fan, but objectively, there are lots of works and it is really interesting.

More or less at the same time the population of our home has been increased by the little blond cat in the picture above. This little thing has entered into conflict with the existing inhabitant, the grey cat in the other picture... wars are theatrical and incredibly funny, unless when they get too annoyed , of course...

All together gave the above posted drawing that I hope you like and Mr. Mucha forgives!! :D

Hola! Hoy subo una de esas cosas que hace uno hace mil años y que de repente piensas: pues podria postearlo.

Asi que toca una pinturilla, de las de verdad, de las que se pintaban con oleo, trementina y pinceles Escoda (no me daba para los buenos de Rembrandt, jejeje). Y es que por aquella época (mi madre! que mayor me siento!), de photoshop ni flowers, claro (mi ordenador era un mackintosh classic, comprado para la carrera, (para hacer cuentas, basicamente), que tenia una pantalla en BN del tamaño de una tarjeta de visita... tratamiento de imagen ¿?¿? que era eso? ;).

Bueno, pues eso: Winona (es taaan guapa), vestida de Mina, en la peli de Coppola. :) pintada hará unos... 15 años ¿? mas o menos...

Con lo que mola lo de pintar ensuciandose las manos y conservando esa sensacion de espontaneidad que da la carencia del CTRL+Z. Si es que hay que hacer de todo mientras uno se divierta... :D

Hello! Today, one of those things you did long time ago and that suddenly you feel like posting. A painting, one of those made with real oil and turpentine and brushes... In the time I did it, my computer was a MacIntosh classic, the screen was as large as a business card, hahaha, and image processing was something that you did for TV... out of my reach, at least. And I'm not that old, hahaha.

Well, anyway, Winona (she's sooo beautiful), as Mina in the Coppola film, around 15 years ago...

I still love painting, getting dirty and the espontaneity of the lack of CTRL+Z. You have to try everything as long as it's fun! :D

Y por esta noche, este es el ultimo... Este es el hijo de un colega, Pablo, haciendo surf... Me mandó un par de fotos, y ¿cuantas veces veis a un niño de 5 años de pie en un long board (desde luego "long" para él)?? Asi que no pude resistir la tentacion de empezar a hacer rayitas con el pincel básico de photoshop, a ver que salia... Evidentemente la ola no era asi de grande, pero tomando la idea del master Lasaine, lo meti en este tubo azulete, para ser mas fantasioooso... aunque todo llegará, seguro... jeje.

Las texturas de los margenes son pinceles de photoshop tambien, menos basicos, claro.

And this is last for tonight... This is my friend's Pablo son, surfing... He sent me a couple of pictures and I wondered: how many times can you see a 5 year old standing on a long board (well, long for him)?? I couldn't resist the temptation of doing some scribbles with the basic PS brush... Obviously the real wave wasn't that big, but taking the idea from master Lasaine, I put him in this green room, to be a bit more daring... it may happen soon... hehe.

Textures in the margins are also PS brushes, not that basic...'course.

Y ya que estoy en este momento webero, pues os recomiendo un link nuevo que encontré, y que me parece un blog entretenido, con humor y con un poco de todo. Parece que me cuesta conseguir un ritmo un poco mas agil de publicacion, pero yo sigo intentandolo...

Muchas muchas muchas gracias por los comentarios que me habeis dejado en el post anterior! me han dado muchos animos para todo en general! Estoy muy contenta de que os haya gustado, por lo menos la apariencia artistica. Ire subiendo mas cosas sueltas al blog, algunas "ineditas" como dicen los de los dvds, y espero que os gusten. Hola!! Bueno..cuanto tiempo! Por fin me conecto... Mi salud no es lo que era, asi que he tenido achaques varios que han llegado a pararme del todo, hasta de navegar por la web... Pero ahora estoy mucho mejor, asi que vuelvo a conectarme y me voy a pasear por todas vuestras sites+blogs a cotillear todo lo que hayais hecho en este tiempo! no os librareis, jejeje!

Antes de tener que parar a la fuerza hicimos un freelance que ha resultado ser el anuncio de Repsol que estan echando ahora por la tele. Una bonita experiencia de ilustraciones que se convirtieron en "tatuajes", compartida con Mr.Plot, Lidix, Antonio y Hesm. El realizador es Sega y la produccion de Lee films...Y como ahora ya sale por la tele, pues ya puedo contarlo.

Os pongo el enlace del anuncio en el youtube por si no lo habeis visto... y el enlace de la campaña de publicidad, por si os quereis entretener...

Hello! how long!! I finally plug myself in... My health is not what it was, so I have been ill and I had to stop doing things, I didn't even surf the web... But now I'm much better, so I'm back to visit all your sites and to see everything you've done during this time! :)

Before stopping we did a freelance job that became a commercial for Repsol (Oil company) that is now on TV. (see the link below). Illustrations were made by Mr.Plot and me, mainly, with the collaboration of Lidix, Antonio and Hesm. It was a nice experience to see how they turned into "tattoos" :)

As now is on TV I can talk about it, I also post a composition with some of the drawings we did... have a look in general and tell me if you like it...

I wish the retorical question in the end didn't sound ironic...

Hola otra vez! y yo creo que por hoy ya vale :)

Me compre un libro de estos blancos, ya hace un tiempo. No es específico para pintar ni dibujar pero la portada es de Hokusai (me gusta muuuucho) y las hojas son de tacto suave, asi que decidi usarlo para hacer garabatos de distintas clases porque me gusta manejarlo... Aqui hay 2 garabatillos... redescubriendo el rotu fino y los lapices de colores (unos inesperados reyes me trajeron una caja grande en Navidad :)... y ya no subo más... me voy a dar una vuelta... ;)

Ah... Y que los que ganen las elecciones pongan su empeño en INTENTAR hacernos a TODOS mas felices... que de eso trata la política, como su nombre indica, aunque parece que la gran mayoría lo ha olvidado y debe pensar que significa "criticar a los demas", y...¿ para eso no están ya el "cuore" y "salsa rosa"?

Some time ago I bought a blank book. It's not a drawing book, not even a sketch book, but it has a Hokusai print on the cover (I love it) and the sheets are soft. So I decided to use it to do some doodles cause I like to touch it. I post here 2 of those... re-discovering the fine marker and the colour pencils ( I got a box as an unexpected xmas gift :)...

I'll stop here for tonight... I'm gonna go around...

Los domingos ya sabeis lo que pasa, que como una tiene mas tiempo, pues voy y subo todo al por mayor, bueno... oye... para cuando no haya (o "haiga" como en los pueblos :)... Surfeando por Flickr encontre unas fotos de muñecos que molaban un monton, me dieron envidia, asi que llamé a todos mis muñecos (blanditos esta vez, algunos no-peluches tambien se colaron) para que se colocaran en el sillon para una foto de grupo... y aqui estan, no estan todos pero casi... Me encantan.

El snowrider, el azul, el rosa y la piramide amarilla son totalmente hechos a mano por mi colega Dee, que deberia poner una tienda y acabaría cotizando en la bolsa de NuevaYork. Diegoooo, el blog YA!!! ;b

** You know what happens on Sunday, we have more time so I end up uploading everything in one go... Well, we'll keep it for when there's nothing... :) Surfing through Flickr I found some cool photos of toys and I felt jelous, so I called all my plushies and fluffy toys to get arranged on the sofa to get a picture of them all... Holaa! Que tal estais?

Posteo hoy un dibujo que hice esta mañana para mi colega Mr. Plot (no os confundais con el "Mr" del principio, en realidad es mas joven que yo, jejeje :) . Me dio su libro en blanco para que le hiciese un dibujo. Algunos de sus amigos y compañeros de curro ya habian hecho el suyo, asi que el nivel ya estaba por las nubes... (lo tenia que haber cogido cuando no habia pintado nadie, jaja)... me daba un poco de miedo... de todas maneras espero que le guste... y a vosotros tambien.... Esta todo hecho con lapices de colores acuarelables, asi que le di un poco de agua a algunos trazos para reforzarlos (no se nota mucho la verdad :b). El unico añadido digital que hay es la textura de papel sobreimpresa, no he retocado nada mas :D

I'm posting here a drawing I did this morning for my friend Mr. Plot (don't get mixed up with the "Mr." before the name: he is actually younger than me :). he gave me his blank book and asked me for a drawing. He already did that with some friends of his and work colleagues, and the level was already very high.. I was afraid... I hope he likes it ... and you too... It's all colour pencils, a bit of water to enhance some strokes and that's it, I just digitally added some paper texture, no other digital processing :)

Y por hoy ya está bien... tres en un dia!! No se que me ha dao!! jajaja! La verdad es que he venido de las vacaciones con un monton de ganas de pintar tonterias... a ver cuanto me dura... Y la verdad es que como tampoco tengo mucho tiempo...
Bueno, esto son bocetos para pintar la mesa del ordenador de una amiga. No me ha dicho como la quiere, pero yo me la imagino de este rollo: vectorial, colores planos, monigotes... a ver si le gusta alguno, que aun no se la he enseñado... Si vosotros quereis decirme cual pondríais, asi hago una investigacion de mercado mientras tanto, pues yuju!! :D
